That's a good question! I asked myself that many times before even deciding to create this site. I honestly don't know if I have a good answer for you, but I will try to explain why I think you would want to help. We are good people, with a good cause and a definite need. I know there are many, many people out there who have the means to help--I just don't know another way to reach them, so I am trying this website in desperation. Everyday you see athletes, politicians, entertainers and financiers putting their money into a good cause--HERE WE ARE!
I honestly believe we are a worthy cause and provide a great service to the diving public and to other small businesses. Over the years, we have promoted conservation of the oceans and other waterways more than any other dive publication. We have worked hard to keep divers safe by promoting training and education, especially in the Cave, Cavern and Technical world. It is only through education that we can save lives in difficult underwater environments because divers want to explore. We strive to keep the South in the forefront of the diving world by providing timely, accurate information helping tourism throughout the areas. And we bring you interesting stories as we learn them to help the public get excited about the wonderful underwater world God has provided us. It is through diving and divers that the consciousness has developed of saving the waters of the world. It is through divers that we have learned about the underwater rivers providing our essential drinking water and pollution's effect on them. It is through diving and divers that we have grown closer to all the creatures underwater, both large and small, and learned why it is so important for them to survive, especially manatees, sharks, sponges and coral.
Yet, it is through magazines like mine that all this information is shared with the world. With our new website, we are poised to meet those insatiable appetites of divers, conservationists, environmentalist, explorers, scientists, travelers and others for more information. With our recent investment in the industry we now will be able to expand our reach to all parts of the world through our great website, but only if you help. At a time when others are frozen in time, we are investing in the future. We are forging ahead, but we have to pay for it. Help bail us out of this debt and we will be forever grateful to you and continue our dedication to promoting safe diving. Here's just a few more reasons to help, because we are:
